UML to discuss suspension of foreign minister's Geneva visit

CPN (UML) is to discuss cancellation of Foreign Affairs Minister Dr. Bimala Rai Paudyal's visit to Geneva in the secretariat meeting

A secretariat meeting is being held at the party's central office, Chyasal on Monday morning.

General Secretary Shankar Pokharel informed that the visit will be discussed at the meeting which was stopped on the instructions of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

Prime Minister Dahal stopped Foreign Affairs Minister Paudyal, who was going to Geneva on Sunday evening to attend the meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Paudyal was ready to go to Tribhuvan Airport in the afternoon after announcing the program to Geneva at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.

However, Prime Minister Dahal instructed Paudyal through Chief Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi to cancel her visit.

Following the same , Minister Paudyal said that she decided not to go to Geneva as she was stopped insultingly.
