It has been confirmed that Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Poudel and CPN (UML) leader Subas Nembang will be contesting for the post of the next president of the country.
Both the leaders' candidacy was upheld after they did not withdraw until the time slated for the same by 4:00 pm today, said the office of the election officer.
The election for the president is scheduled to be held on coming March 9.
