The Twitter handle of the Prime Minister of Nepal, which had been taken over by hackers since Wednesday night, has been fixed.

The office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers confirmed the matter on Thursday afternoon.

Prime Minister Prachanda's Secretariat is running this Twitter handle, of late. But since Wednesday night, hackers were taking over and retweeting unrelated details.

From Thursday morning, the Prime Minister's Secretariat started trying to bring back this handle.

Prime Minister's press coordinator Surya Kiran Sharma had said that efforts were being made to fix the problem after the account.

'We have succeeded in reactivating the Twitter account of the office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, the Prime Minister's office said, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused by unauthorized access to the Twitter handle since yesterday evening (March 15), and unrelated tweets.”

Earlier, four days after the election of the Prime Minister, i.e. on December 14, his account had been locked.
