Nepali cine actor Paul Shah, who is currently serving a jail-term, has received Bhaitika.

Acting Chief Officer of Tanahu Prison said that Shah, who was sentenced to two years and six months in prison on charges of rape, wore Bhaitika in the prison itself on Thursday.

The rape victim’s father had filed a complaint against Shah on February 23. Another complaint of the same nature against Shah had also been lodged in Nawalpur.

In response to the complaint against Shah, the Nawalpur District Court on September 6, sentenced him to two years and six months in prison on the charge of sexual abuse.

Besides, the court has fixed a compensation of Rs. 1 million along with a fine of Rs. 25,000 to the victim. The case against Shah is still pending in Tanahu District Court.
