Malaysia set a target of 236 runs for Nepal in the opening match of the ACC Premier Cup cricket tournament underway in Kirtipur on Tuesday.
Electing to bat fist after winning the toss, Malaysia notched up 235 runs in the allotted 50 overs losing nine wickets.
Ahmad Faiz topped the score with 76 runs including eight fours and one six off 95 balls. Similarly, Virandeep Singh hits 46 runs including two fours off 94 deliveries while Khizar Hayat collected 22 runs.
In reply, Sandeep Lamichhanee and Sompal Kami claimed three wickets each while Lalit Rajbanshi took two wickets for Nepal.
