Tanahun-1: RSP’s Dr Wagle secures 10,259 votes, NC’s Bhattarai 5,003

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Dr. Swarnim Wagle has secured more than 10,000 votes in Tanahun constituency -1.  

After the votes of 13 wards counted, Wagle beat Govinda Bhattarai of Nepali Congress and Sarbendra Khanal of CPN (UML) by a wide margin of votes.

According to the results as of 10 am on Monday, Wagle got 10,259 votes.

Wagle, who has been leading since the counting started on Sunday night, has widened his margin of votes with 5,256 against Nepali Congress's Govinda Bhattarai.

Gobinda Bhattarai of Nepali Congress following him with 5,003 votes. Dr Wagle is leading Govinda by 5,256 votes.

Likewise, CPN (UML) candidate Sarbendra Khanal, who is in third place, has got 2,759 votes.

According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, 18,661 votes have been counted in 13 wards so far.

According to the election office, 63,757 votes were cast in the by-election held on Sunday in Tanahun-1.
