Vote count underway in Bara-2

Counting of votes in Bara constituency 2 is currently underway. The counting of votes started at 1:50 in the afternoon at the education training center in Kalaiya.

Six ballot boxes each from the municipality have been opened. Counting of votes has started from Karaiyamai Rural Municipality-1 and Subarna Rural Municipality-1 from 1 pm.

Yadav is leading with 224 votes. Shiva Chandra Kushwaha of Janamat Party following Upendra with 170 votes.

CPN (UML)'s Purushottam Paudel, who is in third place, has got 166 votes. Ramesh Kharel of Rastriya Swatantra Party is in fourth place with 80 votes.

Similarly, Arun Gyawali, the candidate of Aam Janata Party led by Prabhu Sah has received 12 votes.

Earlier, the counting of votes was delayed when the candidate's representative sitting at the counting station did not arrive on time.

In the by-elections held yesterday, the voter turnout was about 65 percent in Bara.
