RSP’s MP Dhaka Kumar Shrestha relieved of his post

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Dhaka Kumar Shrestha has been relieved of his post.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Tuesday in a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), informed that his MP’s post was vacant.

"The position of the MP Shrestha lay vacant, in line with the Section 36 of the Political Party Act 2073," said Speaker Ghimire.

After an audio asking for bribe was made public, the RSP wrote a letter to the Federal Parliament Secretariat demanding that MP Shrestha be relieved of his post.

Shrestha had became a member of the House of Representatives from the RSP under the proportional representation system.
