ACC Premier Cup: Nepal facing Qatar today

In the final match of the group stage under the ACC Premier Cup Cricket Tournament, Host Nepal is locking horns with Qatar today.

The match is reported to start at 9 am at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. 

Nepal, which is in Group A, will have to beat Qatar to play the semi-finals as the group winners. 

Having already made it the semi-finals, Nepal, if defeats Qatar today, will become the group winner with 7 points. 

Even if points are to be shared in the match, Nepal will play for the final entry as the group winner.

However, in case of losing, Nepal will play the semi-final as the runner-up of the group.

From Group A, Oman has already secured a place in the semi-finals with 6 points with 3 wins and 1 loss in 4 matches. 

Nepal has reached the semi-finals by winning 2 out of 3 matches and sharing points in 1 match, being in second place with 5 points.

The winner of today's match between Hong Kong and Kuwait at Mulpani Ground will make it to the last four. 

With this match, the team that Nepal will face in the semi-finals will be decided. 

UAE have qualified for the semi-finals from Group B.

In the first semi-final match of the tournament, the winner of Group A will play the runner-up of Group B. 

In the second semi-final match, the winner of Group B will play the runner-up of Group A.

The tournament winners will get to play India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. 

The top three teams will qualify for the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
