Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has reached Baluwatar, the Prime Minister's official residence, to meet with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda'.

Prime Minister Dahal congratulated Rabi on winning the by-election from Chitwan constituency 2 by a huge margin.

In the by-election held on April 23, Rabi won from Chitwan 2 with a wide margin of votes.

According to the final results announced on Tuesday, Lamichhane won with 54 thousand 175 votes.

Jeet Narayan Shrestha of Nepali Congress could only secure 11 thousand 114 votes from the ruling coalition.

Rabi was also elected as a member of the House of Representatives from the same constituency in the general elections held on November 20 last year.

However, after being found guilty in the citizenship case, Rabi's MP position was revoked.

That is why, the by-election was held in Chitwan 2 on April 23.
