India is gifting vehicles to Nepal for the smooth conduct of the federal and provincial assembly elections scheduled to be held on November 20 in a single phase.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava will hand over the keys of the vehicles to the government at a ceremony to be held at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday afternoon, according to ministry sources.

These vehicles will be used by Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and National Investigation Department personnel during the upcoming polls. This is not the first time that India is providing logistic support to Nepal's elections. India, the southern neighbor, had extended logistic and technical support elections held in Nepal in different periods.
