A joint meeting of the central committee (CC) and the parliamentary party (PP) of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has started.
The meeting started a little while ago at the party central office in Basundhara.
A joint meeting is taking place to decide whether to withdraw the support given to the government or participate in the government itself.
Earlier, the RSP meeting held last Monday had decided to hold a decisive meeting today.
Rabi Lamichhane, who became the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister for Home Affairs following the November elections, left the government due to his citizenship row.
But RSP has not yet withdrawn its support to the government.
Lamichhane, after taking Nepali citizenship again according to the procedure, won the by-election held on April 23 and became a member of the House of Representatives from Chitwan-2 again.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has asked him to join the government again. RSP is waiting for a concrete decision from Prime Minister Prachanda.
