A meeting of the ruling alliance held at Baluwatar on Saturday evening has concluded that the Prime Minister does not require to take the vote of confidence.
Hitraj Pandey, chief whip of CPN (Maoist Center), said that there is no constitutional provision that requires the Prime Minister to take a vote of confidence.
"Now there is no constitutional provision to take a vote of confidence," said Pandey while talking to mediapersons after the meeting.
Pandey further said that the meeting of the ruling alliance also discussed how to systematically proceed with the meeting of the Federal Parliament starting tomorrow.
It is said that in Saturday's meeting, there was a discussion on the issues that will be presented in the Parliament meeting tomorrow.
According to Pandey, the principles and priorities of the government were discussed in today's meeting.
"Now we have a program to present the principles and priorities of the government in tomorrow's meeting," he said.
He further said that the meeting also touched upon the appointment of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
However, there was no discussion on the issue of fake Bhutanese refugees in today's meeting, said Pandey.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ had held a meeting with CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli before the meeting of the ruling coalition.
Prime Minister Dahal briefed the meeting about the discussions held earlier in the meeting with Oli, said Pandey.
