Dahal, Deuba, Oli discuss issues including new budget, constitutional commission

Top-notch leaders of the three major parties held a meeting for almost two hours on Tuesday morning.  

In the meeting held at Baluwatar, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli have discussed issues including transitional justice, new budget and constitutional commissions.

The three leaders along with the Prime Minister took place at a time when the case of fake Bhutanese refugees has grabbed the headlines. 

But the three parties have not revealed anything about it.

According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the matter of finalizing the Transitional Justice Bill was also discussed in the meeting.

The meeting of the Constitutional Council recommended Hari Krishna Karki as the Chief Justice yesterday evening.

Prime Minister's Press Adviser Govinda Acharya informed that there was a long discussion between the three leaders about the bill which is sub-judice in the parliament including transitional justice.

Prime Minister's Press Adviser Govinda Acharya said, "Constitutional commissions have also been discussed in the meeting."

Besides, the heavyweights also dwelled on the government's upcoming policies and programs and the new budget.
