Nepali Congress leader and former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand has been arrested.
Kathmandu police chief SSP Dan Bahadur Karki informed Nepalkhabar that Khand was arrested from his residence Chabahil on Wednesday morning.
"He was arrested from his residence in Chabahil", SSP Karki told Nepakhabar, "Now he is being taken to Crime Branch Baneshwar. Following general inquiries, he will be brought to District Police Range, Kathmandu.”
During the investigation of the fake Bhutanese refugee case, the then Home Minister Khand was detained by the police.
Khand was also dragged into the investigation after Tek Narayan Pandey, who was the home secretary when Khand was the home minister, and now the secretary of the office of the vice president, was arrested.
