US ambassador meets UML Chairperson Oli

US Ambassador to Nepal Dean R. Thompson held a meeting with KP Sharma Oli, chairperson of the main opposition Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist), on Thursday.

During the meeting, the duo discussed the common challenges that the Unite States and Nepal are currently facing, according to Ambassador Thompson.

Thomson and Oli also discussed matters of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

"Thanks to Chairman K.P. Oli for meeting today. We discussed the common challenges that the U.S. and Nepal face, and how important our 75-year partnership is and will continue to be," Thompson tweeted.

Meanwhile, the US envoy also met Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal today itself.

During the meeting, the duo touched on various aspects of Nepal-US partnership.

"During their conversation, they reviewed various aspects of Nepal-US relations, including the US cooperation in different areas of Nepal's development," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted.
