98 types of medicines, vaccines, basic health services to be free of charge

The government is going to provide 98 types of medicines, vaccines and other basic health services free of charge.

It is said that this facility can be taken from the basic health service centers of 6,743 wards across the country.

Presenting the budget for the next financial year 2023/24, Finance Minister Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat said, “98 types of medicines, vaccines and other basic health services free of charge.”

Minister Mahat further said that priority will be given to procuring medicines manufactured in the country under the program.

Likewise, the priority will be given to the construction and operation of basic hospitals where the majority of people can get services, added Mahat.
