The Bagmati Provincial Assembly has been disrupted as a protest against the map placed at India's newly constructed parliament building.

The meeting was adjourned after the majority passed the resolution proposed by the main opposition CPN (UML) against Nepal's Kapilvastu and Lumbini being mentioned on the map placed at the newly constructed parliament building of the southern neighbor.

UML whip Madhusudan Paudel submitted a resolution asking the Indian government to take initiative to rectify the map through diplomatic means, stating that no territory of Nepal is under anyone's control.

After the resolution was passed by a majority, the Bagmati Provincial Assembly was adjourned in protest of the Government of India.

Talking to Nepalkhabar, UML whip Paudel responded that this resolution was passed since it is a matter of concerns to everyone.

“It is not a personal matter of UML alone. But the entire Bagmati State Assembly has passed a resolution to oppose this this issue,” said he.
