Indian Minister for External Affairs, S Jaishankar, has clarified on the map of 'akhand Bharat'. He expressed belief that neighbouring countries must have known about it.
At a time when issues were raised in Nepal that the 'akhand Bharat' map also included some parts of Nepal, Minister Jaishankar talked to media persons about the mural in New Delhi on Thursday.
The ministry spokesperson had already made it clear on the mural in the newly constructed parliament building, he said, adding that signboard below the mural has mentioned that it is a map depicting historic Ashoka period.
He further said the neighbouring countries should not make it a political issue.
