The children of Nepali people born in Hong Kong can receive their birth certificates from the local governments of Nepal.
Those willing to receive such certificates have to apply for their birth registration at the High Court of Hong Kong.
Once their attested birth certificates are verified again by the Nepali Consulate General of Nepal, Hong Kong, their certificates will be considered valid by the local governments, the Consulate General said.
According to the revised regulations, in case of those who have received passports for the period of five to 10 years, their passports will be renewed for the second time based on the minor’s identity cards issued by the Nepal government.
However, in case of those who have attained the legal age, the Consulate General of Nepal, Hong Kong will renew their passports after the Nepal government issues citizenship cards to them, the Consulate General said.
Those, whose passports have expired, can apply for the new ones with required documents including the travel document.
