SAAF C’ship: Nepal lose to Kuwait 3-1 in first match

Nepal lost to Kuwait in the first match of the SAFF Championship football tournament that started in India on Wednesday.

Nepal lost to Kuwait by 3-1 in the match played at Sri Kanteerabha Outdoor Stadium in Bangalore, India today.

In the 23rd minute of the game, the captain Khaled Hajiya scored a goal for Kuwait to take the lead. In the 41st minute of the game, Shabaib Alkhaldi scored to give Kuwait a 2-0 lead.

Similarly, in the 45th minute of the game, Mohammad Abdullah scored a penalty to give Kuwait a 3-0 lead.

Nepal made a comeback after Anjan Bista scored a goal in the 68th minute of the game, bringing the score tally to 3-1.

This is the 12th goal by Anjan from the national team.

Nepal will play home team India on coming Saturday and take on Pakistan on Tuesday.
