Three fringe political parties have announced to boycott the elections to be held on November 20.

Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Sunday, Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) led by Biplav, Communist Party of Nepal led by Rishi Kattel and Baigyanik Samajwadi Communist Party led by Bishwa Bhakta Dulal ‘Ahuti’ announced to boycott the upcoming federal and provincial elections.

Leader of Biplav-led CPN Prakanda, during the meeting, said joint protest rallies and corner meetings will be organized from November 12 to 16 across the country in protest of the upcoming elections.

“The three fringe parties have decided to boycott the elections concluding that the elections won by brokers do not ensure the rights of the people. Hence, we adopted a policy of boycotting the elections,” said Prakanda.

Similarly, CPN Chairman Rishi Kattel said that they are boycotting the elections to put an end to the parliamentarianism for good.

Kattel expressed belief that the boycott of the parliamentarian elections will help make the Nepal’s communist movement a success.

Likewise, Chairman of Baigyanik Samajwadi Party Dulal said the melodrama of the elections will not be in the interest of the country Nepal and the Nepali people.

Party General Secretary Ahuti said, “We have unitedly decided to boycott the elections concluding that the rights of the Nepali people can be ensured only through the unity of the progressive people.”

The joint protest programs will be held in Butwal and Itahari on November 12, in Bardibas and Pokhara on November 14 and in Surkhet and Dhangadhi on November 16, according to the program.
