Nepal entered the semi-finals of the ACC Men’s U-16 East Zone Cup by defeating home team Malaysia by 84 runs in the final group stage match.
Malaysia was bowled out for 44 while chasing the mammoth 270-run target set by Nepal.
Chasing the target of 184 runs given by Nepal, Malaysia was bowled out after scoring 99 runs in 30.5 overs.
Despite loss to Nepal, Malaysia managed to become the group runner-up booking berth in the last four.
Nepal had registered a 255-run defeat against Thailand in the first group stage match.
Similarly, Malaysia defeated Thailand by 118 runs in the first match.
Nepal's Ashok Dhami took the highest four wickets to keep Malaysia at a low score.
Abhishek Tiwari took 3 wickets, Santosh Yadav took 2 wickets while Kritik Kamat grabbed one wicket.
Earlier, electing to bat first after winning the toss at the Bayuemas Oval Cricket Ground in Malaysia on Friday, Nepal notched up 183 runs in 33.4 overs.
Ashok scored 52 runs in 36 balls including 3 fours and 5 sixes while Naren Bhatta and Suryanshu Koirala made 29 runs each.
In reply, Malaysia's Hajik Haikwal, Mohammad Akram, Mohammad Mukri and Erin Akil took two wickets each.
