With the help of Naren Bhatta's century, Nepal has set a mammoth target of 253 runs for Malaysia.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, in the final of the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup held at the Bayuemas Oval ground in Malaysia, Nepal scored 252 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 35 overs.
On behalf of Nepal, Naren scored a century off 89 deliveries. He scored an unbeaten 112 runs off 89 balls including 10 fours and two sixes. With this, he became the first player to score a century in the ongoing tournament.
Opener Niraj Yadav scored 47 runs in 49 balls including six fours and Suryanshu added 18 runs in 23 balls with two fours.
In the match, Yadav scored 29 runs, Ashok Dhami scored 11 runs, Dipu Kumar scored five runs and Pratik Bhattarai scored 1 run.
Earlier, Nepal defeated Malaysia by 84 runs in the group stage match.
