DRI begins process of weighing seized gold

The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has started the process of weighing the 100 kilos of gold seized out the Tribhuvan International Airport, recently.

The process of weighing the 100 kilos of gold has started, informed Thaneshwar Acharya, the chief of the Mint Division.

The gold recovered by the DRI has been kept sealed at the Mint Division.

The quantity of the gold is yet to be determined.

The gold including the brake shoes has weighed 155 kilograms. The DRI has estimated that there should be around 100 kilos of gold.  

 The exact quantity of gold is determined once it is weighed.
