American billionaire Elon Musk has announced that his social networking site X (Twitter) will have features including video and audio calls in the near future.

The platform will support this new feature compatible with Android, iOS, PC and Mac without sharing phone numbers.

“We are introducing audio and video calls to X.  This new feature will be compatible with iOS, Androis, Mac and PC,” writes Musk.

No phone numbers are required to avail these facilities. X will have a global address book for such calls.

This will be a special thing of this feature even though these features are already available in the messaging apps of WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger and Instagram.

Musk, however, has not provided the specific date for the launch of such new features to X.
