The remittance, an economic lifeline to Nepal, has increased by 25.8 percent in the first Nepali month Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August) of the Fiscal Year 2080/81.
The remittance increased by 25.8 percent to reach at 116 billion rupees compared to 20.3 percent around the same period last year, according to Nepal Rastra Bank.
Remittance inflows in US dollars has gone up by 21.5 percent to $ 879.8 million. It had increased by 12.5 percent last year.
The number of foreign job aspirants receiving the final work permit (institutional and personal) has declined by 12.1 percent to reach at 39,152. Similarly, the number of Nepali youths receiving the re-entry work permit has decreased by 19.5 percent to 16,423 during the review period.
Around the same period last year, this number of taking re-entry work permit had gone up by 75.4 percent. During the review period, the capital transfer increased by 26.1 percent to Rs 128 billion 210 million.
Such transfers had increased by 18.4 percent around the same period last year.
