Internet has been made available at Tilicho Lake which is situated at an altitude of 4,919 meters in Manang district.
The internet has been made available in view of providing internet to the tourists who come to visit this lake.
Cholpa Gurung, the ward chairman of Manang Nishyang Rural Municipality-9, said the internet has been installed in view of the health of tourists who come to visit this place.
“Wifi has been installed in hopes of minimizing the cases of sickness among tourists who come to visit this place,” said Gurung, “With the internet access, tourists may inform about their sickness and status to their families.”
Hotel entrepreneurs Dhendu Gurung said the internet has been made available in collaboration with hotel entrepreneurs of this area.
With the availability of the internet, tourists can now make tiktok, post photos and videos on Facebook.
With the autumn season already set in, the number of tourists is increasing in Manang. Tourists come to hike Annapurna Circuit to view snow-capped mountain peaks and hills, study cultures of Manang people.
