The gold price has set a new record in Nepal today (Thursday).

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of gold has reached Rs 113, 700 per tola, the highest ever in Nepal.

Last July 20, the price of gold reached Rs 113,600.

On Wednesday, the price of gold was Rs 113, 200 per tola.

The price of gold increased by Rs 500 per tola on Thursday, setting a new record, according to the Federation.

Gold traders attribute the sudden hike in the price of yellow precious metal to the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

Today, the silver is being traded at Rs 1,395 per tola, said the Federation.
