Nepal is facing UAE for the second round of FIFA World Cup 2026 and AFC Asian Cup Qualifier today.
The match will start at the Al Matoum Stadium in Dubai at 9:30 pm.
In the FIFA ranking, UAE is 69th and Nepal is 173rd. The Nepali team, which has a majority of young players, wants to make a good start in today's game.
There are only three players in today's match from the team that previously played in the World Cup Qualifier.
Nepali team's goalkeeper and captain Kiran Kumar Limbu, defender Rohit Chand, and forward Anjan Bista are in the match against UAE.
Another defender of the team, Ananta Tamang, is not in the squad against UAE after being injured in the training session.
Nepal secured their berth in the second round by defeating Laos in the second leg of the first round of the World Cup Qualifier.
Nepal is in Group H along with UAE, Bahrain, and Yemen.
The top two teams in the group will advance to the third round of World Cup Qualifier and also qualify for the AFC Asian Cup.
Similarly, on November 21, it will face Yemen at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu.
