Nagarik Unmukti Party's Ganga Ram Chaudhary emerged victorious in Kailali-5

Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) candidate Ganga Ram Chaudhary has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Kailali-5.

This is the first victory that the party secured in the far-western Sudurpaschim Province. NUP's Chaudhary bagged 23,120 votes while his nearest rival CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Krishna Kumar Chaudhary secured 17,749 votes.

Likewise, Gauri Shankar Chaudhary of the CPN-UML remained in the third place with 9,874 votes.

Birendra Bahadur Bam of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party remained in the fourth place with 7,045 votes.
