District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has decided not to allow CPN (UML) leader Mahesh Basnet and medical professional Durga Prasai to hold their programs at Maitighar Mandala.
“UML leader Basnet and medical professional Prasai will not be allowed to hold their scheduled programs at Maitighar Mandala on November 23,” said Rabindra Prasad Acharya, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Kathmandu.
The DAO, Kathmandu has said it won’t allow them to hold their programs in view of security as they have announced to hold programs in a show of strength at the same place and same time, challenging each other belligerently.
“There are courts and hospitals nearby. Ambulances ply the road carrying patients via this place. We won’t allow them to hold programs at this place. We will allocate separate places if they come to office today,” said Acharya.
The UML is angry with Prasain after he publicly said that party Chair KP Oli has investment in Cambodia. Cadres of YAN smeared Prasai with black soot in Kathmandu.
