The Judicial Council (JC) has recommended six individuals as justices for the appointment in the Supreme Court of Nepal.

A meeting of the JC on Tuesday recommended Saranga Subedi, Mahesh Sharma Paudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Sunil Pokharel, Balkrishna Dhakal and Abdul Aziz Musalman for the appointment as justices in the Supreme Court.

Now the complaints against them will be lodged at the Parliamentary Hearing Committee for hearing. Once their recommendation is approved by the PHC, the appointment process will proceed.

Earlier, under the leadership of Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha, there were discussions throughout the day on Monday, but no agreement was reached.

They came forward in the ranking after the recently amended Judicial Council Rules paved the way for counting the tenure since working in a special category of judicial service.
