In a dramatic turn of events, Saudi Arabia have scored two goals against Argentina in the group stage match underway at Lusail Iconic Stadium in Qatar on Tuesday.

In the 53rd minute, Salem Aldawsari scored the second goal giving Saudi Arabia a lead in the second half.

Saleh Al-Shehri had made a first goal against Saudi Arabia in the 48th minute bringing the match into a draw.

This is a historic moment for Arabia after the team made two goals in a matter of five minutes leaving Argentina behind 2-1.

Earlier, Argentina took the lead 1-0 in the first half after captain Lionel Messi converted the penalty into a goal against the opponent in the FIFA World Cup tournament.

Argentina were awarded the penalty after Arabian player committed a foul in the ninth minute of the match.

Two-time world champions Argentina lifted the World Cup in 1978 and 1986. In 1930, 1990 and 2014, the team was limited to runners-up. Argentina have won 47 out of 81 World Cup matches.

In this World Cup, many eyes will be on the Argentine star Lionel Messi.

Similarly, Saudi Arabia's midfielder Salman Al Faraz is the key player. Saudi Arabia, who have created the image of a weak team in the World Cup, have won only 3 out of 16 matches in the World Cup, scoring 11 goals.

Saudi Arabia and Argentina have faced each other four times. Out of which, Argentina has won two matches and two matches have ended in a tie.
