‘Rastra Bachau Mahaabhiyan’, a political campaign led by medical practitioner Durga Prasai, will start from Tinkune on Friday.
The Prasai group which began its demonstration from Balkhu Chok today will stage demonstrations at Tinkune, the group said.
Talking to Nepalkhabar, Prasain, the coordinator of the campaign, said the demonstration will take place at Tinkune.
“The demonstration will continue, we will gather at Tinkune at 11 am tomorrow,” he told Nepalkhabar on Thursday afternoon.
The Youth Association Nepal (YAN), the youth wing of the UML, had demonstrated at Tinkune. The administration had designated this place for YAN.
The Prasai group had taken out rallies at different places before converging them into a meeting at Balkhu on the first day of its protest called ‘Nagarik Bachau Mahaabhiyan.’
Prior to the mass meeting, the supporters of the Prasai Group had clashed with security personnel and the cadres of YAN.
Police resorted to using teargas shells and water cannons to take the situation under control.
