NEPSE jumps 47.75 points

Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, soared up by 47.75 points to 1907.95 on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The benchmark index witnessed a transaction of over 2.01 billion rupees today after 37 days of transactions. Similarly, shares worth Rs 13.3 million were sold out in the previous trading today.

The market regulator which started from 1859.24 points today, in a sudden surge, increased by 2.56 percent. Of the 240 companies involved in today’s transaction, the share prices of 214 companies increased, that of 23 went down while the three companies witnessed their prices stable.  

The share prices of Chhyadi Hydropower and Bhagawati Hydropower soared, triggering circuit breakers today. Sonapur Minerals Company witnessed the highest turnover with Rs 1,16, 600, 000 followed by Reliable Nepal Life Insurance with Rs 70 million.

Similarly, the share price of Infinity Microfinance increased by 2.47 percent.
