Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and United Nations General Secretary Antonio Guterres have held a meeting in Dubai on the margin of the World Climate Summit (COP28).
On an interaction on early warnings for all under the COP28 underway in the UAE, Prime Minister Prachanda met with UN General Secretary Guterres.
During the meeting Prachanda, as the chair of the LDCs, brought attention to LDCs issues, encompassing the policies, priorities and progress achieved by Nepal, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat tweeted.
Earlier, General Secretary Guterres came on a four-day visit to Nepal on October 29 and returned to New York on November 1.
During his Nepal visit, he held separate meetings with President Ram Chandra Paudel and Prime Minister Dahal. He also visited Mt Everest region, Annapurna Base Camp, Pokhara, Lumbini and addressed a meeting of the Federal Parliament.
Prime Minister Prachanda is returning home after participating in the COP-28 this evening.
