Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Ramesh Rijal has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Parsa-4.
Rijal defeated Jalim Miya of CPN-UML by a margin of 5,530 votes.
Of the total 62,496 votes counted, Rijal garnered 31,142 votes while his rival Miya obtained 25,612 votes, informed chief returning officer of Parsa district Binod Kumar Pokharel.
Similarly, NC candidate Shankar Prasad Chaudhary has been elected as a Province Assembly (PA) member of Parsa-4 (A) and Singhasan Sah Kalwar of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) emerged victorious from Parsa-4 (B).
Chaudhary was elected for the second time by defeating Jaya Prakash Tharu of UML by a margin of 1,716 votes.
