Newly elected chairman and members of the Special Court have taken oath of office and secrecy.
Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha administered the office and secrecy to the newly elected chairman and other four members of the Special Court amidst a ceremony at the Supreme Court on Monday.
A meeting of the Judicial Council (JC) on November 21 recommended Tek Narayan Kunwar as chairman and Tej Narayan Singh Rai, Ram Bahadur Thapa, Murari Babu Shrestha, and Ritendra Thapa as members of the Special Court.
They all are the sitting judges of the High Court.
A provision has it that chairman and members of the Special Court are picked from among the judges of the High Court.
