11 complaints against proposed SC justices and envoy to Portugal

As many as 11 complaints have been lodged against the proposed residential ambassador of Nepal to Portugal and six individuals recommended as Justices for Supreme Court (SC)

Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) Chairman Pashupati Shumsher Rana in a meeting held in Singha Durbar on Thursday informed that complaints have been filed against Sanil Nepal, the proposed Nepali Ambassador to Portugal, and Saranga Subedi, Abdul Aziz Musalman, Mahesh Sharma Paudel, Tek Prasad Dhungana, Sunil Kumar Pokharel and Bal Krishna Dhakal recommended as Justices for the Supreme Court. 

The complaints filed against six individuals recommended for apex court Justices and proposed ambassador and their work-plans have been distributed among the members of the PHC.

“The complaints against the recommended ambassador to Portugal and six justices recommended for the apex court and their work plans have been distributed among the members of the PHC,” said Chairman Rana.

A meeting of the PHC held on November 25 had sought complaints against the proposed Nepali ambassador to Portugal, and six justices recommended for Supreme Court.

President will appoint them once their names are endorsed by the PHC. A PHC meeting has been scheduled for 2 pm on Friday (December 8).
