Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud held a telephone conversation with the State of Israel's Coordinator for captives and missing persons Mr Gal Hirsch on Friday afternoon.
Foreign Minister Saud had a telephone conversation with the State of Israel’s Coordinator as part of continuation of the Nepal government’s efforts to find the current condition of Bipin Joshi, the Foreign Ministry posted on X, formally known as Twitter.
“The conversation is in continuation of our efforts to find the current condition of Bipin Joshi, ensure his safety and enable his early release,” the Ministry tweeted.
Similarly, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ met with the parents of Bipin Joshi at the Dhangadhi Airport in Kailali district on Friday morning.
Meanwhile, Minister Saud has pledged to intensify efforts from the government- level to ensure Bipin's release, during his recent meeting with Joshi's parents in Mahendranagar of Kanchanpur. According to Minister's Secretariat, Saud is set to visit Qatar on December 9. When in Qatar, Minister Saud will request Qatari officials for taking special initiatives for Bipin's release.
On November 24, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ urged Qatar's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, who had arrived here on November 23 on a two-day official visit, to take initiatives for the release of Bipin Joshi from the captivity of Hamas.
Joshi is one among the Nepali students taken captive by the Hamas militants in course of their October 7 attack in southern Israel.
