PHC approves Sanil for ambassadorial post

The Federal Parliament Hearing Committee on Friday unanimously approved the name of Sanil Nepal as Nepal's ambassador to Portugal.

The Committee approved Nepal's name unanimously, the Committee's senior-most member Pashupati Shumsher Rana said.

At the Committee's meeting on Friday, Nepal had made a presentation on his plans of action and said that he would discharge his duty to the best of his knowledge, capacity, and conscience.

He also said that he would work to bring in 10,000 tourists from Portugal to Nepal every year.

Earlier on October 19, the government had decided to open the Nepali Embassy in Portugal and recommend Nepal as the ambassador in the European country.
