Nepali Congress has called a Central Working Committee (CWC) meeting for December 28.

A Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) meeting held in Sanepa took a decision to this effect, informed Min Bishwakarma, the chief of the party's Central Information, Communication and Publicity Department.

“A CWEC meeting held at the central party office of Nepali Congress in Sanepa on Friday decided to call a CWC meeting for December 28,” said Bishwakarma.

The polls are being held to elect members for the 20 posts lying vacant in the National Assembly on January 25.

Nepali Congress has called the CWC meeting by postponing the Mahasamiti meeting scheduled for January 1 to 4, citing preparations for the NA elections.

With this decision, the Mahasamiti meeting will be at Gadawai in Lalitpur on February 19 to 22.

The CWC meeting has been called by postponing the scheduled Mahasamiti meeting for the preparations of the NA elections, said Bishwakarma.
