Two mayors, Balendra (Balen) Shah (Kathmandu) and Harak Sampang (Dharan), are rumored to have started forming a new party.
Mayor Sampang's statement after meeting with Mayor Shah in Kathmandu on Thursday indicated that they are preparing to open a party.
On Thursday morning, Shah and Sampang, who contested the election on a stick as an election symbol and became the leader of the local government, held an hour-long discussion in Kathmandu.
Following the meeting with Balen, the mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Sampang posted a picture on Facebook and wrote, "Don't doubt, the revolution will always yield victory! No worries, we will get bigger and bigger!"
After this, Sampang wrote another status, "Don't hurry, a new power will be emerge."
On Friday, Sampang asked in plain language, 'If we want to open a political party and move forward, who will support us?'
