20 lawmakers led by Maoist Center chief whip fly to China

A team comprising 20 federal lawmakers led by CPN (Maoist Center Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey has flown to Beijing on Monday afternoon.

The team of Nepali lawmakers embarked on a 10-day visit to Beijing on a flight of Air China via Chengdu.

The team includes five each from Nepali Congress and CPN (UML), three from CPN (Maoist Center), and one each from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Janata Samajbadi Party and CPN (Unified Socialist).

The Nepali delegation will take part in the program organized by the International Trade Academy under the Ministry of Commerce, China.

They will also visit Nanjing, Guiyang, Beijing during their China visit.

Lawmakers Yubaraj Sharma, Ram Nath Adhikari, Ain Bahadur Shahi, Swaraswati Bajimaya and Kusum Devi Thapa are from Nepali Congress.

Damodar Bairagi, Manbir Rai, Nirmala Koirala, Rukmini Rana Baraili and Bhagawati Neupane are from UML, and chief whip Pandey, Jag Prasad Sharma and Narayan Sharma are from Maoist Center.

Similarly, Santosh Pariyar from Rastriya Swatantra Party, Anisha Nepali from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Prakash Adhikari from Janata Samajbadi Party, Metmani Chaudhary from Unified Socialist are in the team.

Similarly, Sudarshan Khadka, the secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Shekhar Adhikari, the Press Advisor to the Speaker and section office Jeevan Niraula are in the team.

The team will return to Nepal on December 30, wrapping up its 10-day China visit.
