Bal Krishna Dhakal, a proposed Justice of the Supreme Court, has said (that) he will actively work towards institutionalizing the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the management of courts.
Presenting his views and action-plan in the parliamentary hearing committee (PHC) on Monday, proposed Justice Dhakal said he will leave no stones unturned to institutionalize the use of AI in the courts.
He underlined the need to establish AI as an integral part of the justice administration, except for those areas where human presence is indispensable, citing examples of AI’s efficacy for the management of courts across the globe in the present context.
He said, “The use of AI is growing every single day for the management of the courts in the present context. Hence, I will leave no stones unturned to promote the use of AI for the management of courts in Nepal, too.”
He further said that he will implement the social security, proportional representation and environmental cleanliness as laid down in the Constitution.
