Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has reached the State Affairs Committee of the Parliament to answer about the share purchase and sale of the private sector mobile phone service provider company Ncell.
Prachanda went to the parliamentary committee to give an answer at a time when many doubts are being raised regarding the issue of Ncell's share purchase and sale.
Reynolds Group Holdings, which owns 80 percent of Ncell, was sold by Malaysia's Axiata to non-resident Nepali Satish Lal Acharya's Spectrlite UK. But the government is also being questioned about the transparency of the purchase.
Questions are being raised on the top leadership of the government in the case of Ncell's share purchase and sale. The prime minister appeared in the parliamentary committee when the government and the opposition were raising questions.
