Probe committee formed after finding sale and purchase of Ncell shares suspicious: PM

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the sale and purchase of Ncell shares are suspicious.

Prime Minister Dahal said this while answering the questions raised by the members of the State Affairs Committee of the Parliament.

He further said that the evidences of purchase and sales of Ncell shares, revenue collection, and foreign exchange are being collected, he said.

He expressed commitment to bring a complete overhaul in regulating the telecommunication service provider companies in Nepal, revenue administration and create environment conducive for foreign environment once the probe committee submits its report.

“We are collecting evidences of sales and purchase of Ncell shares, revenue collection, and foreign currency exchange. We will take steps to create conducive environment for foreign investment, bring reforms in revenue administration and foreign currency exchange once the probe committee submits a report,” said Prachanda.

Prachanda went on to say that if misappropriations are found to have been committed by breaching the existing rules, the Nepal government will take strong actions in accordance with the law.

He made it clear that an investigation committee has been formed to look into the case after the process of sales and purchase of Ncell shares were found ‘suspicious’.
