Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is addressing the nation today on the completion of one year of his tenure as the Prime Minister of Nepal for the third term.

Prime Minister Dahal will address the nation at 5 pm, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

Prachanda, who took charge as the Prime Minister on December 25 last year, seems to have been effortful, of late, in bringing a major overhaul in the economic sector, and good governance.

As part of his effort, he has instructed the cabinet ministers to submit a performance report within a month. There have been reports circulating in the media that he is also making preparations to replace some ministers whose performance is weak.

Prime Minister Prachanda recently claimed that he would do something to cause “a break in continuity” on the day he completes one year of becoming the Prime Minister for the third time.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the 400kV Inaruwa Sub-station at Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality-4 in Sunsari on December 22, Prime Minister Prachanda said (that) he would do something groundbreaking.

However, the Prime Minister did not disclose what work he would do to cause such “a break in the continuity.”

People, in general, are awaiting his address to the nation today for what he would say about a groundbreaking work.
