A meeting of the Socialist Front has taken place at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday morning.
CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Nepal, General Secretary Ghana Shyam Bhusal, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) General Secretary Netra Bikram Chand, Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav, Maoist Center General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretary Giriraj Mani Pokharel among others were present in the meeting that started at 9 am.
Prime Minister’s Press Advisor Govinda Acharya said that it was a regular meeting. “The meeting took place to dwell on the contemporary political issues,” Acharya told Nepalkhabar.
Ruling parties Maoist Center, JSP, Unified Socialist and NCP which is out of the government are in the Socialist Front.
